Hello friends. I'm feeling rather inspired and excited to have spent the past few days in the studio completing drum, bass, and rhythm work on another pile of songs. My musical collaborators Jonathan Inc., James Molnar, and Josh Cole have been adding some bold new colors to the sound of things, though there's still much work to be done. Here's a few photos to spark the imagination for the time being...
Some of you may have heard that I'm in the habit of writing a new original Christmas song each year — a little Christmas present for you, dear listeners, and a chance to experiment for the band and I. This year's track is titled 'Oh What Night', and was produced in collaboration with my band mates via Skype since we'd already dispersed for the holidays. No sleigh bells, I promise! Just visit my BandCamp page for the free download (or click below), turn on the twinkly lights and enjoy.
The fine folks at Global TV had me on early yesterday to play a bearded/glasses solo version of 'Whitewater' to help let folks know about Shore 104FM's '12 Bands of Christmas' Fundraiser this Friday for the Vancouver Food Bank (I'll be on at 1PM). If you missed the 8AM airtime, the internet is an amazing place. Who needs a PVR? Watch it below.
Greetings and salutations all ye riders of bits and bytes.
I have been holed up in my tiny studio working on some new songs the past while, and as all those who work in darkened rooms know, it's good to take a break and enjoy the outside world. So a very good reason to break with the hibernation is that I have a few shows coming up this holiday season that I'm thrilled to be part of.
December 7th at Anchor Guitar in Vancouver, I will be supporting my dear friends Sheree Plett and Eisenhauer as they release their newest collection of Christmas songs, called 'Out Under The Sky'. Their previous yuletide tunes are a seasonal staple of my collection, and I'm certain you'll enjoy them as well.
December 14th, I will again be honored to be part of Shore 104FM's annual '12 Bands of Christmas' drive for the Vancouver Food Bank. A friendly neighborhood radio station, 12 hours of local music, you and I sharing a little Christmas cheer.
More info on the shows page. Hope to see you there!
Good cheer to each and all.
